Achievements

14th August 1991 Kano Model School was established 2nd June 1992 Pakistani High Commissioner visited Kano State. He was welcomed by Hon. Commissioner of Education who in his opening address appreciated the efforts of Kano Model School and praised the promoter of the school for a job well done. 14th August 1995 The school premises was transferred from 180 Independence road to No. 3 Saint Louis Avenue Bompai – Kano 18th Sep. 1995 Extension of the school to Senior Secondary School 26th March 1997 The School took 2nd position in both the National Theme and Free Choice Projects in the 1997 Kano State Junior Engineers

Technicians and Scientists (JETS) Exhibition competition. 9th – 14th June 1997 The School won Silver medal in Volley ball in the 1997 Kano State Inter-institutional athletics/games Championship for boys held in Wudil. 21st Nov. 1997 The School was recognised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) as a centre for May/June Senior School Certificate Examination. The School centre number was 19205. 7th Dec. 1997 The School represented Kano State in the 1997 JETS National Theme project exhibition in Maiduguri (Borno State) and took 4th position. 10th Dec 1998 The Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria honored Mr. M. A. Mansoor (Agriman) Proprietor of Kano Model School with Distinguished Service Merit Award for Excellence in Educational Administration. 24th – 25th Aug. 1999 The school represented Kano State in the Science and Technology project exhibition competition organised by Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) held in Queen Amina College Kaduna and took 4th position. 31st May 2000 The school took 1st in the 2000 Science Fair Exhibition Competition organised by Kano Educational Resource Department. 21st June 2000 The National Examination Council (NECO) commenced conducting SSCE in 2000. The school registered its candidates and started the Examination with Agricultural Science Practical. 6th June 2001 The area sales manager (North – West) of West Africa Milk Company (NIG) Plc presented Peak Performer Certificates and Gifts to deserving overall best students in JSS1 – JSS3 of the school. 20th – 25th Aug. 2001 The School represented Kano State in Science Fair organised by the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) at Queen Elizabeth School Ilorin – Kwara State and took 3rd position in the Science Exhibition competition. 24th Oct. 2002 The School took 1st position in the Creative Arts Competition organized by Adolescent Health and Information Project (AHIP). 7th Oct 2003 The School competed in Creative Design and won 2nd position and in Art and Craft won 1st position during the 2003 Educative Carnival organized by the Adolescent Health and Information Project (AHIP). 30th Sept 2004 The school took 1st position in Designing and painting of Seasonal/Greeting cards

1st position in the making of local truck during the Carnival of Learning organised by AHIP. 11th March 2005 The school emerged the North – West winner of the 2005 Peak MOM of the year Essay writing competition. The student received N100

000 cash prize and the school a set of computer desk top and printer. 19th March 2005 The school represented the North – West zone in the Television game Peak MOM of the year 2005 in Lagos and took 3rd position in Nigeria. 19th March 2005 The School took 3rd position in the Islamic quiz competition organized by the Muslim students Society of Nigeria St. Louis Secondary School Branch Kano. 11th – 23rd April 2005 The School represented Kano State in the 2005 National JETS Competition in both National Theme and Free Choice project Exhibition in Ondo State and took 4th and 9th position respectively. 5th May 2006 The School took 1st position in the Science Project Exhibition organised by the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) Kano State branch. 26th June 2006 The School took 3rd position in the exhibition competition on Landscape painting organised by British Council during the United Nation Day against Drug Abuse and illicit drug trafficking. 13th – 19th Aug 2006 The School represented Kano State at the 47th Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) Main Theme project competition held at Calabar and took 2nd position trophy. 17th – 23rd Sept. 2006 The School represented Kano State at the 15th National JETS Competition in the National Theme and Free Choice project exhibition held at Abuja
